Angles

Circular Functions

The sine of an angle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle. The tangent of an angle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the adjacent side of a right triangle.

The secant of an angle is the reciprocal of the cosine of the angle. The cosecant of an angle is the reciprocal of the sine of the angle. The cotangent of an angle is the reciprocal of the tangent of the angle.
