"I've been trying to get pregnant for two years now, and it's been the hardest thing I've ever gone through. But I've also found a lot of humor in it along the way. I mean, how can you not laugh when you're peeing on a stick for the hundredth time, or when you're getting a shot in the butt to make your ovaries work?

So I've decided to share some of my infertility humor with you. I hope it makes you laugh, and I hope it helps you feel less alone.

On peeing on sticks

I've peed on more sticks in the last two years than I have in my entire life. I've peed on sticks at home, at work, in public restrooms, and even in the back of my car. I've peed on sticks with my husband watching, with my friends watching, and even with my dog watching.

And I've never seen a positive result.

But you know what? I'm not going to give up. I'm going to keep peeing on sticks until I get that positive result. Because I know that one day, it will happen.

On getting shots in the butt

I've been getting shots in the butt for the last two years to make my ovaries work. It's not the most pleasant experience, but I've learned to laugh about it.

One time, I was getting a shot in the butt when my husband walked in. He saw me wincing in pain, and he said, "What's wrong?"

I said, "I'm getting a shot in the butt."

He said, "Oh, that sucks."

I said, "Yeah, but at least I'm not getting a shot in the head."

He laughed, and then he gave me a hug.

On the emotional rollercoaster

Infertility is an emotional rollercoaster. One day, you're feeling hopeful and optimistic. The next day, you're feeling defeated and depressed.

I've learned to ride the rollercoaster with grace. I know that there will be ups and downs, and I'm not going to let the downs get me down.

I'm going to keep fighting for my dream of becoming a mother. And I'm going to keep laughing along the way.

On finding humor in the darkest of times

Infertility is a dark and lonely place. But I've found that laughter is the best
